Kruger National Park - Restcamps (Pretoriuskop)
Pretoriuskop is situated in the southwestern part of the Kruger National Park only 9 km from Numbi Gate. The camp lies in a hilly region with many interesting, picturesque rocky outcrops. Rare species like sable and rhino may be sighted in this area as well as the more prolific species such as impala, zebra and wildebeest. Several historic places, such as the Voortrekker Road, the birthplace of Jock of the Bushveld and the Albasini Ruins are within a short drive from the camp. The first tourist hut in the park, the Wolhuter is found in this camp. Accommodation includes the six-bed cottages, four-bed cottages, six-bed huts and two/three/four/five-bed huts.
Pretoriuskop is a fairly big camp in the south of the Kruger National Park. This camp is one of the favorite camps of travel agents. I've you're on a trip through South Africa and you're going to the KNP for a few days then this might well be the camp you're staying in.
