Kruger National Park - Restcamps (Shingwedzi)
Shingwedzi is a small camp in the north of the Kruger National Park in the heart of mopane country. A scenic game drive is the one following the Shingwedzi River in a southeasterly direction towards the Kanniedood Dam. Waterbuck, nyala, kudu and elephant are often seen here and the bird life is prolific. I've really just drank a cup of coffee in this camp once so there's really not a lot more I can tell you about this camp. Anyway, it looked to me to be a very nice and quiet camp. Accommodation includes four-bed cottage and two/three/five-bed huts.
Things to seek in the Shingwedzi area
- Giant Eagle Owl
- Elephant
- African Rock Python
- Spotted Hyena
- Green Pigeon
